SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland) is Ireland’s single national awarding authority for all higher and further education grants. They began processing in 2012, replacing the sixty-six local awarding authorities who had previously processed student grant applications.
The online application system for new and renewal grant applications for the 2017/2018 academic year opened on Monday 3 April, 2017. Last year they processed more than 105,000 applications with in excess of 83,000 students (new and renewal) receiving funding for the 2016/2017 academic year. SUSI offers funding to eligible students in approved full-time third-level education in Ireland and also, in some cases, funding for students studying outside the State. They offer support to all types of students, from school leavers to mature students returning to education. For full information visit the website www.susi.ie |
