Junior Cycle

Students at Moyne study the following core subjects which are offered to higher or ordinary levels as appropriate.
  • Irish
  • English
  • Mathematics
The following core subjects are studied at common levels
  • History
  • Geography
  • Science
  • Civic Social and Political Education (CSPE)
  • Social Personal and Health Education (SPHE)
  • Religious Education
  • PE

They  then choose three subjects from the following list

  • French,
  • German,
  • Visual Art
  • Wood Technology
  • Engineering
  • Graphics,
  • Home Economics,
  • Business.
  • Music

During the first term pupils can sample three subjects for 4 weeks and another set of three for the next 4 weeks before making a final decision at October midterm.


 Junior Cycle
