Fr McGee Garden

As part of our 40th Anniversary Celebrations we dedicated a special garden in memory of Fr Phil McGee, the first Principal of the school. Fr McGee worked tirelessly to see the construction and opening of this school and to bring together the pupils, staff and traditions of the Latin School in Moyne and the Vocational School in Ballinamuck

Sadly Fr McGee passed away on 27th January 1975 at the age of 46 years a few months after our school opened in September 1974

The dedication ceremony was celebrated by Fr Gray who was school chaplain at the time and was attended by members of the family of the late Fr McGee. Also in attendance were past staff and members of our Board of Management
