. School Management and the Board Of Management aims to facilitate the resumption of school based teaching and learning and the return to the workplace of staff. The return to the workplace must be done safely and in strict adherence to the public health advice and any guidance issued by the Department of Education. This has necessitated mayor changes in the use of and access to the school dining hall.
The dining hall can no longer be an area for pupils to congregated and sit. Access will be granted for the purchase and consumption of food during designated break times only.
Once pupils have finished their food they must leave the area. The dining hall will be limited to 60 people sitting in marked socially distanced seats. Pupils will only be allowed to enter to purchase food. Those bringing their own food will not be allowed enter and must eat in their base classroom or outside if the weather permits.
For Health and Safety reasons the staff of Get Fresh Catering will not be able to heat/reheat food brought in by pupils.
Early Morning/Before School
The Canteen will be open for pupils who arrive on early buses. Pupils will only enter if they are purchasing food. They can sit in allocated seats to eat and must then leave when finished. Pupils who are not purchasing food cannot enter.
11:00 O'Clock Break
11 o'clock service is now available. Food will be served if students queue in a socially distance manner and food may be eaten outside
Lunch Time
Lunch times are now being staggered to reduce the numbers of student out of class at any one time 12:40 -13:20 1st,2nd and 3rd year students 13:20 - 14:00 TY, 5th year, 6th years and all LCA students
Hot food can be served in the canteen during lunch breaks. Entry to the dining during the first 15 minutes of break is reserved for those purchasing dinner.. Those wishing to purchase other items can do so once hot food service is complete. Once finished eating pupils must leave the hall.
