Get Fresh Catering are introducing our Cashless System to the Catering Services at Moyne Community School

As a result of Covid-19, Get Fresh Catering are working on making the canteen in the school a cash free environment. We are installing our cashless payment system in the canteen. The cashless system primarily works on the basis of the students using a topped-up card to tap and pay for their purchases in the canteen

Our ‘’ Touch Top Up ‘’ supported cashless system is our cashless solution where each student will simply present their contactless card to pay for any transactions within the canteen. This system will eliminate the need for students  receiving cash from parents on a daily basis. Instead, parents / students can upload money onto their account where it is stored safely and ready for use to be spent within the school canteen.

Advantages of the Cashless System:
  1. Faster service with shorter queues and no delay waiting for change.
  2. Easily topped up online from Smartphones, Tablets and PC’s.
  3. Convenience of not searching for money at the till.
  4. Parental Control of expenditure with online report available showing all items purchased.
  5. Eliminates risk of student losing money or having money stolen.
  6. Removing cash from student’s pockets reduces the opportunity for bullying.
  7. All money is stored securely in students account and not on the card.
  8. Lost or stolen cards can be cancelled immediately once reported and the remaining balance transferred onto a new card.
  9. From a hygiene perspective moving to cashless is a safe decision
Cards will be available from 6th January - purchased from the canteen. The service will become totally cashless from the end of January when cash will no longer be accepted

How it works:
A new system for school meals and snacks is being introduced to ensure that pupils can get a healthy meal every day.

Rather than receiving cash from parents, Mum and Dad can now load money directly into their son or daughter’s school meal account where the money is stored safely, ready to be spent at the canteen on site.

Useful Facts
What to do if card is lost or stolen:
Your card should be treated like cash and kept safe, if someone else gets your card they can use it in the canteen until it is blocked.

You should report a lost or stolen card to the school or canteen staff as soon as possible.. They will block the card from being used.   (please take a photo of the card number that you can give to enable blocking)
