Proclamation Day 2016

On March 15th, 2016 our school community came together to remember and commemorate the events of the Easter Rising of 1916.
Our students, joined by members of our Board of Management and  Parents Association joined with schools across the country in remembering an event which was to have a lasting effect on modern Ireland.

The tricolour presented to the school by the Thomas F Meagher foundation was raised, the Proclamation of the Irish republic was read and the National Anthem sung.

The pupils presented the Board of Management with a framed copy of the Proclamation which now hangs proudly in the Board Room.

Senior pupils also produced their own proclamation for 2016 which is on display in the school
