Moyne Community School first opened its doors in 1974. To commemorate our 40 years of history a number of special event were held. On Friday 24th April 2015 a special service of remembrance was held in the school. We were honoured to be joined by members of the Board of Management (Past and Present), retired members of staff, parents association, local guests to celebrate the history and life of the school.
A large number of local clergy graced us with thier presence and we were particularly proud that tour Patron the Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnois Francis Duffy and his immediate predecessor Bishop Colm O'Reilly joined us. The service was celebrated by former school chaplain Fr Declan Shannon
