Moyne Community School offers an holistic education, upholding the Christian values and traditions of the communities from which the school evolved. We are committed to enabling students and staff to develop their full potential within the school’s formal and informal curriculum, in a friendly, safe and caring environment’
Moyne Community School was founded in 1973. It became one of the first community schools in the country when the Latin School in Moyne and Ballinamuck Vocational School closed their doors.

The responsibility of carrying on their respective traditions was passed to the new Community School. The present building was opened in 1974.

The school is a multi-denominational, co-educational school with a comprehensive range of subjects and first class modern facilities. The school has always been renowned for its warm friendly atmosphere, based on a relationship of mutual respect between teachers and pupils
